What a great trip! The bush is looking magnificent.
We went via Hukuntsi, Zusthwa & Kaa gate into the Kaa game trails area about 4 years ago – a fantastic trip & would love to do it again.
You really make me long for the Kalahari!

    Hi,
I am just glad we were not the only ones fighting the seeds this year ;-).
We had been comming down from the other side and almost got lost on the overgrown track West of Matseleng in February. I didn’t even have a net to protect the radiator … .

Awesome beauty in the Kaa concession though!!
Did you see the lions at Kaa Gate?
We took the entire Swart loop – didn’t meet anyone for four days….
    Cheers

Those grass seeds are a real menace and we will NEVER travel at that time of the year again. Too many hassles. We didn’t see the lions at Kaa Gate, but knew that lions had been reported in the area where we got stuck. It adds to the excitement, doesn’t it! Kind of like Bushveld Roulette as opposed to Russian Roulette.

  3. Wow, quite the adventure. I didn’t realize the grass seeds could create so much danger/problems. Glad you returned safely.
